Program I : Running Sculpture
Choreographered by Lars Dahl Pedersen
Enjoying the freedom before day-break, two dancers in fluid licentious movement are captured elegantly in a choreography of sculptural sublimity.
Running Sculpture (人体雕塑) is pure dance, a beautiful pas-de-deux. Energetic and synchronized pieces of dance, mixed with sculptural calmness or licentious movement. Lars Dahl Pedersen's choreography is an interplay of tempo and calmness. While two dancers' bodies rotates beautifully around each other, their interest to each other becomes more and more prominent. A pleasure to view.

Program II:Iconic/Ironic
Choreographered by Jens Bjerrgaard
New meanings often arise from re-visiting the classics. Iconic/Ironic (旧酒/新瓶) is a consistent, abstract choreographic game of POP ART and the use of clichés. The piece consists of interlocking choreographic fragments – at times beautiful, at times ugly, at times silly and at times evil. Some fragments have references to previous productions while others are new material.
- Jens Bjerregaard
It is not the first time that Jens Bjerregaard, being a man of abstraction, shows his humorous side. But the irony is far more accomplished and sharp in "Iconic/Ironic"... Small details such as men's wriggling of the hips and women's dancing with the head of the man have given irony and humour to this inventive piece."
- Vibeke Wern, Danstidningen
[...] Very acute and surprising shifts, interconnected with an exiting body language, in seemingly harmonic and disharmonic moments ...It varied from light satire over well known icons to serious comment of a horrible world outside It is both humorous and evil.
In Iconic/Ironic, there is much more humor and playing than usual in Jens Bjerregaard's other works. The straightforward style suits him very well."
-John Christiansen, JP-Århus

Artistic Director Jens Bjerregaard has consistently followed his own direction, regardless of trends and fashions. He is extremely conscious of form. His language is playful, yet sophisticated, and he constantly challenges himself and his dancers – both in his choice of music and artistic approach.
Educated in dance and choreography at the London Laban Centre of Music and Dance (1989-1992), he is one of the very few choreographers in Denmark who creates dance as an abstract non/theatrical expression. Jens Bjerregaard is best described as an architect of movement, with a natural instinct for structure, often inspired by contemporary art and design. His style is often spell binding and displays a certain 'Scandinavian feel,' founded on a consciousness of form and good design.
In 1998 he and a group of professional dancers established the experimental ensemble 'Urban Elves' – the ensemble has won several international awards for choreography and have continually been sponsored by the Danish Arts Agency, due to the quality of their productions. Bjerregaard is the Artistic Director and founder of Mancopy© Dansekompagni. Since July 2007, he became the Artistic Director of Koreografisk Center Archauz.
Mancopy© Dansekompagni is a repertory contemporary dance company based in Århus, Denmark. It was founded in 2004 by Artistic director Jens Bjerregaard, an acclaimed Danish choreographer and previously Artistic Director of Dance Ensemble Urban Elves 1998-2004.
The company consists of a professional dance company of 4-6 dancers and has a repertoire of work from acclaimed as well as new international choreographers. The company has since 2007 been the In-house company at the Choreographic Centre Archauz in Aarhus.
