A cross-over between music and dance – Australia-based percussion ensemble "Sonamus" will use not only conventional instruments like Marima, Vibraphone, Gong, Timpani , but will also turn many daily life objects into music instruments to create some awesome soundscape. 12 dancers from the Guangdong Modern Dance Company will interact with the sound with their wild imaginations and their well trained bodies that are capable of doing almost anything.

Sonamus was born in 2007, when Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University Young Conservatorium percussion lecturer Paul Lin and Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University Doctoral candidate Wang Yu Yan joined forces to bring the best in percussion duo music to audiences in Australia and abroad. This prize winning duo has claimed prizes in competitions across Australia and has appeared with ensembles, such as the Gold Coast Symphony Orchestra, Ba-Da-Boom Percussion, and Clocked Out Duo as guest soloists and principals. On the 1st of June 2008, Sonamus organized the highly successful fund-raising concert "For Sichuan", which saw them transform the sorrow of students from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau in reaction to the earthquake in Sichuan, performing for a selected audience including members of the Chinese Consulate and the Director of the Conservatorium. Sonamus' repertoire includes pieces that are mostly highly challenging works for percussion duo, but that at the same time are entertaining for any kind of audience. Their energy and passion has been praised in their award-winning performances, and their technical skill has impressed musicians from all areas. Following their local success, Sonamus is looking to expand its artistic endeavours beyond the confines of Australia, and is planning visits to Europe and Asia.
