The Wizard of Oz (绿野仙踪) was written by American author Frank Baum and became a bestseller since it was published in 1900. This time it will be performed by Airship, a Japanese puppet troupe set up in 1966. The troupe first played in China at Guangzhou's Huang Hua Gang theatre in 2007 with Aladdin and the Magic Lantern.

Dorothy Gale, a 12-year-old Kansas farm girl, is knocked unconscious during a tornado. She, her dog Toto, and the farmhouse are apparently swept up in the storm and dropped into the magical Land of Oz, where she sets out on the yellow brick road to the Emerald City to ask the Wizard of Oz to return her to Kansas...
