As the final installment of Edward Lam's "Urban Trilogy" (2008-2010), "Grand Expectations (命运建筑师之远大前程)" will be presented on December 10th & 11th at the Guangzhou Opera House.

In the play, which obviously refers to Charles Dickens's novel of the same name, Hong Kong dramaturge Edward Lam narrates the story of a woman and two men living in a metropolis. He writes "Happiness and Rome, All Built in One Day," comparing an individual's happiness and destiny to architecture.

The play was staged in July at the 2010 World Expo which is taking place in Shanghai. The cast includes Malaysian actress Sinje Lee, winner of the Taipei Golden Horse award for Best Actress in 2002, and Taiwan actors David Wang and Tony Yang.
