The multimedia musical drama "Marco Polo the Imaginary Journey" will make its world premiere at the National Centre on August 16 in Beijing. After touring China's major cities, the drama will debut in Guangzhou during Mid-autumn Day.

"Marco Polo the Imaginary Journey" is a gift from renowned designer Pierre Cardin to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, celebrating the time-proven Sino-Italian friendship. Based on the legendary story of Marco Polo's travels in China, the performance contains aspects of ballet, dance, musical and animation.
