Shaoxing Opera "Chunqin Memoir"

2006 is the 100 anniversary of the Shaoxing Opera. Over the 100 years, the Shaoxing Opera, with the persistent efforts of generations of artists, has now become one of the most popular and loved local operas. For the celebration of the centenary anniversary of the birth of the opera, a new Shaoxing Operas, "Chunqin Memoir"  will be on show in Friendship Theater on January 16, 2007. 

Chunqin Memoir is adapted from a Japanese novel of the same name, telling a moving love story of blind girl Chunqin and her servant. The major actresses in this opera are well known young actresses Cai Zhefei and Zhang Yiqing.
