Olympic Opening Ceremony Now on DVD

Those who missed the majestic opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games can now witness the thrilling event on DVD. As of August 11th, 6000 of the two-disc set are being sold nationwide. Here in Guangzhou the discs are being promoted at the Guangzhou Book Center as well as at Xinhua chain bookstores. A 10% discount is being offered at the Guangzhou Book Center now.

The DVD set, priced at 55 Yuan, was recorded and edited by CCTV, the only organization with copyright authorization for the Games. An additional DVD set containing various memorable moments from the Games and closing ceremony will be available soon.
