Mikhail Rudy, regarded as one of the most influential pianists by BBC Classical Music, is little known in Asia. Together with conductor Jahja Ling and the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, this outstanding pianist will present in Guangzhou on April 2nd Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1 in B and Beethoven's Symphony No.7 in A Major.

Born in Russia in 1953, Mikhail Rudy followed his mother's guidance and studied piano at the Moscow Conservatory with Jacob Flier. In 1977 when he was 24, Mikhail fled to France where two years before he won First Prize at the Marguerite Long Competition in Paris which launched his career.
