Sebastian Schunke presents in China his new CD “Back in New York” which will be released in October 2008. It includes seven new songs recorded with leading Jazz musician and 9 time Grammy Award Winner Paquito d´Rivera.

The band joining Sebastian on his 4th China tour in 2008 is determined by the next young generation – living in Berlin and creating new music of Berlin and Europe – it is the Avantgarde of the 21st century.

Since more than 6 years the Sebastian Schunke Group has been an energetic part of the international Jazz scene. Sebastian, based in Berlin, is the youngest leading Jazz composer and pianist.

Together with his group he always creates a fresh and totally new sound, unifying modern Berlin Jazz with African and Latin American elements.

Sebastian brings together internationally renown Jazz musicians coming from different cultures. They unify the intense energy from their home cultures to create a complete new song concept. With internationally acclaimed CDs and several tours around the world the band has achieved a strong name in the Jazz community, representing a unique hip experimental world Jazz - totally new and unpredictable. An incredible live experience!

Sebastian's new CD “Back in New York” will be released in October 2008. This new release brings him back to the Jazz Capital New York where he used to live and records Sebastian with 9 time Grammy Award Winner Paquito d´Rivera and other Grammy Award Winners as Antonio Sanchez or John Benitez.
They reach a new, unknown musical expression – combining modern Europe with modern New York, African and Latin American grooves.
