Mag.Farnberger Franz, Conductor
St. Florian Boy's Choir, Performer

Dating back to 1071, the St. Florian Boys' Choir (St. Florianer Sängerknaben, or SFSK) is among the world's oldest and most eminent traditional choirs.

Over its prolonged history, the St. Florian has persisted in solely using boys aged 8 to 12. The sounds the choir produces resemble the sounds of nature, and continue to enchant audiences from generation to generation.

These days, while church music continues to make up the majority of the choir's program, a large number of modern adaptations have won the St. Florian worldwide plaudits, including light opera pieces such as The Bat and The Magic Flute. Masterpieces by Brahms, Schubert, Schumann and Kodaly are contained in the repertoire as well.

St. Florian's has been giving world tour performances for decades. In two months, it will make its debut in China. To convey its goodwill to local audiences, the choir will perform two Chinese folksongs, The Crescent Moon Rising and Beautiful Homeland
