Born in Katrineholm, Sweden in 1979, Martin Sturfält started playing the piano aged four and has in later years become much in demand as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe. Martin studied at the Stockholm Royal College of Music (KMH) and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (GSMD) in London, with teachers Stefan Bojsten, Paul Roberts and Ronan O'Hora.

In recent years Martin has performed in such prestigious venues as London's Purcell Room and Wigmore Hall, as well as all major venues in Stockholm and around Sweden. He has appeared several times on Swedish and Nordic radio and TV.

2005 sees Martin appearing as a soloist with orchestras such as the Swedish Radio Symphony and the New London Sinfonia and playing recitals and chamber music in London's Royal Festival Hall, Rudolfinum in Prague and Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
