Concert Hall of Xinghai Conservatory of Music

With a capacity of 1,060 seats, the Concert Hall of Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou's University Town will be among the world's largest symphonic halls and the first acoustic-oriented music hall nationwide.

The concert hall has been tested by the Acoustic Research Office of the South China University of Technology, which shows that the reverberation time of medium frequencies when all seats are filled is 2.2 seconds, higher than the 2 seconds of the National Grand Theatre and Music Hall of Vienna. The other indices are also among the top 3 in China.

In addition to being a base for teaching and research, the music hall will hold international academic meetings, master classes and domestic and international music festivals. Together with the Ersha Xinghai Music Hall and the Guangzhou Opera, it will be one of the city's three major performance halls.
