Located in Zhujiang New Town, the Guangzhou Opera House is one of the 7 newly-built landmarks. The opera house includes a 36,400-square-meter Grand Theater, a 7,400-square-meter multifunctional theater and other auxiliary facilities.

The Bei Lei Theatre was built in 1984 and had a 4-year renovation during 2004 to 2008. The new theatre with larger space and advanced facilities has 1,226 seats. It is now the best theatre of the city.

With a capacity of 1,060 seats, the Concert Hall of Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou's University Town will be among the world's largest symphonic halls and the first acoustic-oriented music hall nationwide.
