"Rob-B-Hood" Leads Golden Week Box Office

Jackie Chan's latest project, "Rob-B-Hood," was the big winner at the China National Day holiday box office, taking in 10 million yuan its first week.



The HK0 million action comedy, co-starring Hong Kong actors Louis Koo and Michael Hui and Chinese mainland stars Gao Yuanyuan and Chen Baoguo, resonated with Beijing audiences after its release across China on October 1, the beginning of National Day holiday.

Director Feng Xiaogang's martial-arts epic "The Banquet," starring China's hottest actress Zhang Ziyi, slipped to second place with less than 5 million yuan over Golden Week.

Sony Pictures' "Open Season," an animated adventure comedy dubbed by a group of famed Chinese mainland stars, including Ge You, opened for a disappointing the third place.
