Sapphire Image Salon Scheduled for Second Half of 2008

The second half of the 2008 Sapphire Art Image Salon launched with two documentaries from Holland at the Sapphire Art Space on September 21. Until November 16, a number of international documentaries with different themes will be shown over five weekends.

With themes closely related to mass culture, the four movies shown on October 12 will explore the private lives of spies and sleepwalkers.

On October 19, Polish and Chinese student directors will show their works and have talks with the audience.

The theme of October 26 is "American Day", which will include a 2008 Oscar nominated documentary called "Operation Homecoming", as well as a piece reflecting the current state of the media entitled "ABEL RAISES CAIN".

Works by Chinese directors are specially arranged to be shown on November 2 and 16.
