As the so-called Chinese King of Sanda, or free fighting, Liu Hailong(柳海龙) will seriously challenge many elite fighters from other countries at the Tianhe Sports Center on May 23rd.

Liu, born in 1980 in Shandong province, is one of the best Chinese kick boxers. He is dubbed the "Conqueror of Muay Thai" because he has beaten so many top Muay Thai fighters.
In one Sanda vs Muay Thai challenge held in Guangdong, Liu Hailong brutally defeated Lukpoei Grabangkoei, a Muay Thai champion from Thailand. He lifted Grabangkoei up and threw him out of the ring onto the concrete floor twice before splitting open his already battered face with a direct punch, resulting in a knockout.
Salihov Muslim, a highly accomplished Russian Sanshou fighter, also failed to beat Liu Hailong in a closely fought bout in which Liu Hailong won on points.
After a two-year break, Liu will return in Guangzhou ready to fight.
