3. DATE AND PLACE
24-25 November (Saturday to Sunday) 2007, in Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Center.
4. DISCIPLINES
4.1 Five-a-side Football: Men's only.
4.2 Basketball: Men's only
4.3 Tennis: Men's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Singles, Women's Doubles.
4.4 Table Tennis: Men's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Singles, Women's Doubles.
4.5 Badminton: Men's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Singles, Women's Doubles.
4.6 Bowling: Men's Singles, Women's Singles (Competing groups will be arrange for those age 45 and older, born before 1 April 1962, and those below the age 45)
5. PARTICIPANTS
5.1 Foreigners (and their families) working at Guangzhou-based consulates, branches of foreign institutions, foreign-invested enterprises, domestic institutions and state-owned enterprises, as well as foreign students studying in Guangzhou.
5.2 Officials working at the Municipality's public sector institutions and enterprises at or above the 'Deputy-Director-General' level.
6. ELIGIBILITY
6.1 The 4th Friendship Games does not accept entries from the incumbent professionals and those foreigners who do not have the legitimate right of abode in Guangzhou.
6.2 Participants should have an adequate condition of health required for participating in events. The Organizing Committee shall not be responsible for any injury or death caused by health problems that occur to a competitor during the Games.

7. ENTRIES
7.1 Participants should submit their entries through their organizations. However, they are free to form a group or team with those from other organizations.
7.2 Each basketball team should consist of no more than 10 members. Each five-a-side football team should consist of no more than 10 members.
7.3 Each participant should choose no more than 2 events for entry, and should only participate in one of them if the event schedules coincide.
7.4 Entries are not limited for all the events.
7.5 The entry deadline is 29th October. Completed entry forms should be faxed to Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office (Contact Tel: 83125432, Fax: 83125533) . Entry forms are can be downloaded from the following websites: www.gzwaishi.gov.cn.
8. METHOD OF COMPETITION
Please refer to the specific regulations for each discipline, which will be worked out in accordance with the final number of entries.

9. AWARDS
9.1 Awards are presented to the top 8 places of each event.
9.2 Other awards include 'Best Male Athlete', 'Best Female Athlete', 'Best Performance', 'Best Participation', and 'Commemorative Award for Demonstration Events'.
9.3 Souvenirs are prepared for all the participants.
10. COSTUMES AND EQUIPMENT
Please refer to the specific regulations for each discipline.
11. The interpretation of all the regulations and rules of the Games are subject to the understanding of the Department of Competition under the Organizing Committee.
