Run Run Shaw Gymnasium in Jinan University was inaugurated on December 8th 1991. It was built thanks to a 1 million HKD donation from Run Run Shaw (邵逸夫) and government investment. Covering over 7,000sqm, the gymnasium is located in the center of the Tianhe campus. It boasts 3248 fixed seats and 400 retractable ones. The center can be used for basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, handball, table tennis, and many more. In addition, the center possesses a gym equipped for weight-lifting, meeting rooms, VIP lounges, offices, and four classrooms.
