24 Foreign Enterprises Settle on Yide Lu

Since an adjustment was made last October, Yide Lu (一德路),  has attracted 24 foreign enterprises, said sources from the Economic and Trade Department of Yuexiu District. The 24 projects have all been approved by the Ministry of Commerce and could be started at any time.

The 24 projects are based on various international capitals. Most of them are commercial and trading buildings. Some of them are engaged in the service industry. With these 24 foreign projects, industries in this area would be diversified.

Zhuang Yuequn, Deputy Executive District Head, said that with these projects to be started in the coming two and three years, Guangzhou would witness another CBD along the Pearl River, which boasts more advantages than that of the CBD on Huanshi Dong Lu.

The area surrounding Yide Lu is a traditional major business zone in Guangzhou. It has enjoyed a long history of business activities. According to the planning by Yuexiu District, this area covering Daxin Lu (大新路) in the north, the bank of the Pearl River in the south, Wende Nan Lu (文德南路) in the east and Renmin Lu (人民路) in the west would be developed into another headquarter base following the one in New Pearl River City (Zhu Jiang Xin Cheng, 珠江新城). Therefore, it will breathe vitality into the traditional business in this area by creating a cluster of headquarter businesses.
