Alibaba Settles the S. China Headquarters in Guangzhou

Alibaba (China) Technology Company Limited signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Guangzhou Information Technology Office to promote e-commerce applications in the small and medium sized enterprises in Guangzhou together. The Alibaba Southern China Headquarters of E-commerce Operation officially settled in Guangzhou as the regional service headquarters for the Pearl River Delta.

Deputy Mayor of Guangzhou Xu Zhibiao said that Alibaba, in joint efforts with the Guangzhou Municipal Government, would expedite the e-commerce application in Guangzhou in terms of extent and depth, developing Guangzhou into a center for e-commerce operation and development in Southern China. The cooperation would be mutually beneficial to both parties, enabling small and medium sized enterprises in Guangzhou to make full use of the e-commerce services platform of Alibaba and facilitating Alibaba to grow larger and stronger as well.
According to the Memorandum, Alibaba would cooperate with Guangzhou Municipal Government in aspects of e-commerce application promotion, and e-commerce personnel training, and other. Small and medium sized enterprises in Guangzhou were expected to promote e-commerce applications in order to explore domestic and international markets, develop new services, and improve the quality and efficiency of their operations. In addition, it was expected to create an environment that encourages the development of e-commerce with favorable policies and a fair-play market, so as to promote the development of local internet companies by supporting the e-commerce demonstration and extensive application in small and medium sized enterprises. Competitive enterprises engaged in e-commerce from both China and abroad were also welcome here to boost Guangzhou's digital economy.
