According to the latest statistics, the Tianhe Business Zone has achieved annual sales of ¥20 billion from wholesale and retail. As a result, it has replaced Zhongguan Village in Beijing and has become China's largest distributing center of hardware and digital products. Its business spreading through southern china and southeast Asia.

Lin Feng, Director of South China of Pacific Digital Plaza, said that over 40% of China's PC producers are in Guangzhou and most international and domestic brand PC manufacturers have set offices in Guangzhou. He said that at least 80% of products including key boards, mice, AC adapters and sound boxes sold across China are supplied by this distribution center.

Officials of the Shipai PC Market Association said that 17 professional markets covering 70 thousand square meters clustered in Tianhe District, which attract 40 thousand consumers daily. During holidays, over 70 to 80 thousand a day will visit those markets. Hu Kunhui, General Secretary of the association, told the reporter that most of the consumers are about 20 to 30 years old who enjoy pursuing fashions.

DIY (Do It Yourself) has become a popular term to those young consumers who buy parts to make a complete PC. Just ten years ago when the PC rash appeared in China, most PC lovers began to DIY in Guangzhou.
