White Collars Keen on Killer & police in GZ

Updated Beijing Time

Close your eyes as the night falls, it's time for murder! Perhaps you find this terrifying, but actually it's a popular game with white collars nowadays - killer & police.

Apparently, killer & police was introduced by an overseas student, and has swept Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. In Guangzhou, whenever as young white collars gather during breaks, dinner parties and get-togethers… this game is played.

As a results, clubs and bars catering for this game have emerged. At present, when young white collars are off work they rush to take part in the game.

Killer & police attracts white collars from across the career spectrum – IT, advertising, and even some occupying high-level positions are keen to take part.

Attraction 1: relieve pressure

Those who like to play the game say that once you start it becomes addictive. White collars are keen on this game because of pressure from work. They can play the role of killer and can plead innocence which can relieve the pressures of work.

Attraction 2: excitement and thrills

Murder is far removed from our daily lives. But through this game, playing the role of killer stimulates young white collars mentally.

Some players enjoy playing the role of killer most - who can tell convincing lies and disguise their guilt? As Xiaobin, an honest man in daily life said, "He can obtain indescribable happiness from this disguise."

Some wonder if this game nurtures the dark side of human nature. Alternatively others think it's good to acknowledge the evil that exists in society.

Most players just enjoy the game without serious reflection. "Don't take it seriously, it's just a game," one player said.
