Little "Laowai" Joins "GZ Little Mayor" Competition

Little "Laowai" Huo Yingjian joins the "GZ Little Mayor" Competition. (Guangzhou Daily)

 
The 7th "GZ Little Mayor" Competition opened in mid March and it had attracted many local middle and primary schools students with some even from Canada, South Korea and Japan.

Huo Yingjian (his Chinese name), a 12-year-old boy from a primary school in Guangzhou's Tianhe district gave a speech in the competition. The little boy could speak fluent Mandarin and some Cantonese. Both his parents are Canadian.

In his speech, little Huo Yingjian gave his advice to the Guangzhou Mayor of how to solve the problem of people's running a red light in downtown Guangzhou.
