北京路“五一”举办美食秀

由广州市经贸委、广州日报报业集团《美食导报》社、广州国际美食博览中心联合主办的2006广州美食烹饪大赛暨美食博览会将于“五一”黄金周期间在北京路隆重举行。

The  "2006 Guangzhou Gourmet and Cooking Competition" and Gourmet Expo is to launch on the Labor Day during the "Golden Week" on Beijing road of Guangzhou. The Competition and Exposition is sponsored by the Guangzhou Economy and Trade Committee, Meishi Daobao (Gourmet Newspaper) of Guangzhou Daily Newspaper Group and Guangzhou International Gourmet Exposition Center.

据组委会负责人介绍，本次大赛将有50家广州知名企业参加角逐，争夺代表厨艺最高水平的至尊金奖和丰厚奖金。

According to the director of the Organizing Committee, 50 famous companies and enterprises will join to compete for considerable prize money and the Golden Top Prize, which is credited as the Distinguished Honor Award for the chef.

为了参加活动的群众能有得看又有得吃，主办方还同时举办美食博览会，邀请全国各地小吃、广州特色餐饮到场参展，让市民和游客到了北京路就能一天食遍全中国。

In order to feast participants' eyes and stomach, the Gourmet Exposition will be hosted at the same time. Famous snacks in Guangzhou-style as well as from all over the country will be presented in the exposition. Then you can have a taste to a rich variety of foods of different provinces in one day without going out of Guangzhou.
